new year

i can already tell that this year is going to be much different than last year. which, luckily enough, is what i was expecting. i do not, however, know exactly what to expect about this year otherwise. this i know is a good thing because expectations lead only to disappointment most of the time. that's not a pessimistic thought -- just realism.

i'm not a huge fan of changes, to say the least.
